MEETINGS

WHERE AND WHEN ARE THE MEETINGS?

Meetings will take place on Thursdays (one Thursday each month) of each month at 12:20pm. If any changes in the dates or time occur we will let you guys know. Be sure to check the remind and emails we sent out so you can stay up to date with all out current events!

HOW LONG ARE THESE MEETINGS?

Meetings are usually about 20-30 minutes each.

WHAT IF I MISSED A MEETING?

We give advance notice plus the availability of remind messages and emails to keep our members updated. Please take advantage of all these opportunities presented to you and try your best to attend these meetings.  We will be uploading the meeting powerpoints on the Previous Meeting Powerpoints page.

How is attendance taken?

Attendance is taken through the attendance sign-in sheet. At every meeting, we have a sign-in sheet in which members input their names and grade levels. Attendance is vital and proves that you are an active member of Key Club.

VOLUNTEERING & PROJECTS

HOW CAN I LEARN ABOUT VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES?

Contact any one of the head officers (Contact Us). Volunteer opportunities are always presented at meetings and through remind. You can join a project or participate in service projects to earn hours! Depending on your project, volunteer opportunities are presented at project-specific meetings and through various forms of news through project chairs.

WHAT IS A PROJECT?

A project is a place to volunteer for our Key Club members. For a full list of projects, click here !

HOW DO I JOIN A PROJECT? DO I NEED TO JOIN A PROJECT?

Please contact the project chair of the project you are interested in here.  You are usually required to join one in order to earn your hours, and we still want you to join a project. However, you are allowed to get 10 outside hours per semester! You can also earn hours from Key Club service projects!

THE SERVICE HOURS

HOW MANY HOURS OF VOLUNTEERING SHOULD I GET EACH SEMESTER?

Our current hour recommendation is 80 hours total over 4 years of high school. As long as you participate in all our club and division service events, this should be fairly easy.

WHAT ARE OUTSIDE HOURS? HOW DO I GET OUTSIDE HOURS APPROVED? HOW MANY OUTSIDE HOURS CAN I GET EACH SEMESTER?

"Outside hours" are hours of community service that are done outside of the already approved programs/events and projects. You are allowed to get 10 outside hours per semester.

MAY I USE HOURS THAT I HAVE USED FOR KEY CLUB FOR OTHER SERVICE CLUBS OR VICE VERSA?

No, because being a Key Club member is different than from being a member of another club and vice versa. No "double-dipping" allowed.
